Rotary Leadership Institute
This is a training program and resource for Rotarians who would like to know more about operating an efficient and productive club and getting more from the Rotary experience.
It is conducted over 3 separate days across the District and a number of our members can attest to the value of the program. See PE Janine for more information. Our Club will cover registration fees.
R.J. Vague Award
Members are invited to bring forward nominations for this award which recognises community service and honours the wonderful contribution to the Geelong community by our esteemed charter member, the late Bob Vague.

The Rotary Foundation
So we can get our donations to Parramatta in good time, members who would like to round up their Rotary Foundation contributions to Centurion or Sustaining Member level are invited to do so at tonight's meeting (31 May).

Defying The Drift
The vigour and viability of rural communities is a subject close to the heart of our great friend and fellow member, Stan Deans and hence Stan's enthusiasm and commitment to the Defying the Drift program which takes place at Marcus Oldham Farm Management College over 3 days.
It is designed for Year 9 and 10 students to encourage interest in careers which have a rural focus - whether farming and agricultural, health, the environment, teaching, commerce etc.
Members are asked to promote the program and Stan can provide more information and application forms.
The cost is minimal ($150.00 per student) and the potential return on this investment is incalculable.
Membership Committee Report
Committee chair David Sykes gave us an update on matters membership.
The Committee wants to see an overall increase in membership from 50 to 60 by 2019, focusing on gender balance and diversity, look at joint projects and work with the PR Committee to attract new members to our Club.
David and his Committee have spent time updating our member records and following up past and prospective members and promoting and developing the process and procedures for Friends of Rotary .
Members who are on extended leave of absence are encouraged to maintain their links to the Club through participation in service and committee activities.
Uploading Club documents on to Club Runner and reviewing membership-related practices and procedures are all important parts of making our Club more efficient and more attractive to prospective members.
