2015 Community Raffle - Update - $4,000 + banked

Thursday was VERY cold and windy and Alan and Adrian braved the cold for not much return ....
A very cold David sensibly pulled the pin to avoid phenomia.
James and I are still in Hamilton (relaxing after the Rotary Youth Exchange weekend)  and do not have the details from Friday and Saturday but will update you after the meeting on Tuesday.
Please note the extra dates in the lead up to Christmas, New Year ad Australia Day - if required.  If you are around and can help out, that would be great.  If we can't fill the roster, we can just let Dan Murphy's know.

Books issued to Rotarians - Aim for 8th December please!

Please return the stubs and money for tickets sold as soon as possible.  It is too easy to put them aside and forget.
If you would like more tickets it can be easily arranged!

Roster for the next two weeks

Thanks to the volunteers to date.  As you can see there are still vacancies.
Sales have been steady at all venues and every little bit helps!
If you can't make your shift, it is greatly appreciated if we know and if you can arrange a swap.  Happy to help if you need it.  Phone numbers are included to help you let your partner know.
If there is one name on the table below, partners are required.
Can you help?

Last Week's Program
Bryan Humphrey - our Man in Phnom Penh - told us all about the clean water wells project which has been his particular passion whilst working in Cambodia with Australian government-supported community development schemes.
With Angela's support and through his own dedication and persistence and through the magic of The Rotary Foundation matching grants, Bryan and his Rotarian friends from the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh have changed the lives of hundreds of local people and enhanced their prospects of economic security and improved the health of their families.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for our Club to recognize Bryan's work across the range of Rotary's endeavours through the Avenues of Service Award.
We are fortunate indeed to have Bryan and Angela as members of our Club and to be able to share with them in the joys of Rotary friendship and service.

Fundraising Ideas Wanted
Members are asked to offer suggestions for ways in which our Club can raise funds to support our local and international community service activities.
One idea is a calendar and all ideas will be gratefully received.
The Fundraising Committee needs more members so think about how you can assist.

If the hat fits….
Baseball caps are here - some have 4 peaks so you look around quickly and still not get the sun in your eyes - and for as little as $15.00, you'll never strike out!

Ballarat South Raffle
We thank James and Sue Dunlop for all their wonderful work on the rosters. Please contact Sue if you can fill a spot.
