Changeover review - Peter Gillham:
Dear Rotarians and friends,
Last night's Change Over was a wonderful occasion which topped off a great year of fellowship and service.
The very moving tribute to Graham Thomson, the celebration of the contribution over more than two decades of Elizabeth & Ross Taylor to our Club, the District and our community and the presentation by our beloved Bill Pratt of the award which bears his name to Alison Marshall were, with the Paul Harris Fellow Recognitions, just some of the many highlights.
Fine entertainment and food and a beautifully decorated venue made for a very special conclusion to The Year of Gary and the start of what will no doubt 12 months of action, achievement, consolidation and growth under President Sam and a first class Board.
Peter presented a poem to Gary “in the spirit of the game” which will be included in the next Dispatches from the East bulletin.
Walk against waste review – Sue Dunlop:
What a difference an hour makes!
Warren, Tony, James and Sue spent just over an hour walking with purpose and made a huge difference to the rail trail between St Albans Rd and Breakwater Rd. 6 bags of rubbish, a wheel with tyre attached and inflated, a bike tyre, umbrella frame, a pillow and a Richmond scarf.
A satisfying clean up and the council were called to pick up our efforts!

Paul Taylor – Unlock your Potential
The Rotary Club of Geelong East is supporting the Cottage by the Sea in a fundraising effort, "Winter Warmers".
A part of that effort is a seminar by renowned speaker and author, Paul Taylor. Attached is a flyer with booking details should you or people you know who might benefit from hearing Paul's messages of Personal Wellbeing and practical strategies to achieve a balanced and successful life.
This program is for everyone. If you know of others (family members, employees, colleagues) who could benefit, please pass the attached information onto them.
Rotary Learning Institute (RLI) July/August training
RLI is a great tool for club leaders and any member (new or seasoned) who would like to know more about the wider Rotary world, funding, grants, project planning, attracting members etc.
The registration form is attached and includes the dates and costs of both the upcoming Naracoorte course and online zoom course. Both courses come together for RLI3 face to face at a central location. (please ignore the cut off registration date).
