Our chair was Bernadette who did an excellent job, keeping the meeting on track and on time.
The Evening's Program - Committee Meetings
Members met in the service committees.
Hamburger Stand – 15 to 18 October
We enjoyed another Geelong Show and, thanks again to the huge effort and commitment of Adrian and John to this, our major fundraising activity, we have boosted our charitable account.
We are most appreciative of the work done by our members, families and friends and by our dedicated Rotaractors and the wonderful team from Bendigo Bank and we look forward to hearing details of takings and the profit in due course.

Lost and Found Department
Adrian has located a dark grey polar fleece zip up windcheater top at the Hamburger Stand and would like to reunite it with its owner.

ROMAC
Sue Dunlop reported that there is a young man undertaking surgery with ROMAC (Rotary Overseas Medical Aid for Children) in Melbourne and can we provide an activity?

Ballarat South Raffle Ticket Sales
Sue also drew our attention to the Ballarat South Raffle roster with opportunities to take a stint at selling tickets at our venues around Geelong.

Barwon River Safety Markers Project Update
Keith is doing a presentation to the Council and there are positive noises from CMA.
Thanks to members who indicated their preparedness to take positions on the necessary committees. Keith will set up team details on Club Runner.
There will be opportunities for members to undertake observational research on "who does what when" on the river.

Poster Pose
Sue Hill displayed the excellent Raffle poster which Chris Adam has done to promote the raffle ticket sales at the Geelong Show.

Mentoring Project
Warren Norton reported on the mentoring project for the tradies which is a substantial Vocational service project in Geelong.
Warren is inviting members who would like to act as mentors or who know of tradies  who would benefit from the project.

Probus
David Beretta reported on the recent Probus District Conference in Maryborough.

Foundation Night and District Governor's visit
PDG Eddie announced that the value of the PHF sapphire recognitions being presented at our meeting on Tuesday 27 October is close to $30,000.00.
This is a partners' night so don't forget to book them partners in!

Big Banner Back!
The Big Banner has returned. Apparently it was amongst some "hot items" in the collection of a person who is not a Rotarian and whose possession of such may constitute a breach of The Four Way Test.
However, the important thing is that we have it......and to keep it safe, it will remain rolled up in a dark place!
